WANTED: Dell laptop charger

mostly leaving it plugged in kills batteries. if u use the batteries and let them run flat they will last alot longer

It said the opposite when I got mine - use battery as little as possible as it will only charge 300 times. Who knows.

My charger arrived this morning.. but I now suspect the laptop itself.. I haven't tried the new charger yet but did a MacGyver on the old one with no joy...

my Sony has the same type of socket, I've seen it on a couple of other big power supplies too. Bloody annoying when you're looking for one...

Apparently they're standardising mobile phone charger connections next year. It'd be about time the computer companies did the same.
