For Sale is my beautiful VW Type 2 Camper Bus.

It's a 1970 Early Bay, originally from Sweden, restored in 2007 and imported to the UK shortly after that. I bought the bus back in September. I have a folder full of the restore pics.

Since buying i've added two new heat exchangers, a ride height adjuster to the front axle, two new track rods and various other bits and pieces

The panels and paintwork are superb; the restore job was flawless. It was dry stored in the UK and has been since i brought it over here.

It's been registered over here, on ZV plates. Plates not yet purchased!

Monetary reasons are the only reason for the sale. If money wasn't an issue, i'd been keeping it until my dying days.

I welcome any questions you may have, but please, don't contact me unless you're genuinely interested and in a position to purchase. I know the value of the vehicle, and the price is spot on. If i don't get a sensible offer, i'll keep it.

Call me on 086 400 1381

On September 3, 1967, at 04.50 in the morning, the traffic everywhere in Sweden was directed over to the right side of the road and stopped. Everything stood absolutely still for 10 minutes, and at 05.00, when it started again, all road users in Sweden from heavy trucks to cyclists were already on the right side of the road, and they have stayed there since

wonder when they will be swopping sides of the road here?
it could get enda more stripes with his buddies in europe,
and be another big money making racket here (y)...
right up their street...that could see quite a few few civil servants and council workers
through to theirs over priced retirements:drinkbeer:

that clown donnie cassidy already suggested this a few years back, said it would benefit all the europeans now living here and american tourists

here`s a quote from him "I know when I go to America it takes me five or six days to adjust. :looool:

Strange thing is that they always had LHD cars, even before the switchover - no idea how anyone overtook a truck back then.

I'd love to know why that camper is RHD as well - must have an interesting history.

It looks very clean - I love an early bay in white.

Hi guys, thanks for your replies..

I'm dropping the price to €14,700 - would tend to agree with a few posters that it's a bit on the pricy side..

I have no official documentation to proof it, but i believe it was originally LHD and converted to RHD... wiper position and rear view mirror would suggest this.. I've been told by a number of people that if you know what you're at, it's a conversion that can be done well and doesn't cause any issues...

Any queries let me know.
Thanks for looking

All my buses are RHD and have exactly the same wiper position, the rear view mirror is slap bang in the middle so no need to change.......? Sliding door is on the correct side for a RHD bus too.......... if someone did convert it to RHD they went to a large amount of effort to do so........... still, lovely bus........... :D

it has foksy style adjuster on front axle
all new track rods,drag link
new cv boots, and all cv joints greased up.
as well as new heat exchangers.
it is a lovely bus.

from my exp painting on rust bullet on the rat bay doka last week
it looks like the whole under side of this bus got that treatment too,
its very clean underneath,no nasty black stuff hiding anything...
