[Wanted: Parts] VW Beetle 73 Bumper (Eur) Steel, No Chrome

Hi guys,

In need of a rear Europa style bumper with no chrome on it, the one with the black strip. Bare steel. The remakes seem to have been discontinued (check links below). So looking for a used but good condition or if anyone has any recommendations they would be much appreciated. Thanks so so much.

Unusual to see them in paint and not chrome unless it's a Mexi beetle

Base 1200 models were fitted with black painted bumpers

Garyliam, could you get the plating removed from a chrome bumper somehow? I wonder would blasting lift it?

The Europas' that were on my 1303 were paint over chrome.They needed to be done again in all honesty, but that was only because of scratches.Other than that the paint had adhered to the chrome very well.

It just seems that its a lot of work to get it off, and if not the chrome rusts under the paint in time. So steel without chrome was recommended from a friend.
