Tipp - Exiled in County Electric Picnic
I headed off to this, no beetle, in the daily. I knew I was a tad bit late when I passed Trev on his way home. Flashed the lights, but he was too busy fixing his shades to take any notice. A few had left before I arrived, but met Keith, Rez & Aoife, PJ and Padraig on his way out the gate. A nice show of cars again this year. Weather was good, drizzled a bit, but when doesn't it !!!!!

Rez, car looked nice on it's first show !!! Even tho it did have a small accident :confused: Bizarre !!

p.s. Teresa save me a bit of that apple tart until the next show !!!!:D

forgot to mention, nice to finally meet Liam Beetlebug and TonyVW and to catch up with the old reliables too.

And to Liam and PJ, sorry if I was going a bit fast on the motorway, my speedo is disconnected since the engine bay makeover last week and it's a big job to get it reconnected!

I discovered when I got home the rear right redband tyre trim got torn. Must have caught a pothole or something. Raging.

jaysus Liam, I didn't see you at all, must have been checking myself out in the mirror when I passed you! In fairness, I left early. I'd seen what I wanted to see and had to get to KK on the way home...

LOL. My car is ok. Checked it properly when I got home. Remind me in future to make sure the car parked in front of me has his handbrake ON!!!! It would happen to probably the only car there without a bumper!:eek:mfg:

Yep, had a fine day at this too, great to have a day for shite talking about cars :D

Good turnout of cars, with eircooled well represented. Nice to meet a few new faces, and the mini convoy from Monard was short but sweet. Cheers to Trev and Coxy for the pushstart in Monard, especially while wearing a strap-on...

Headed off around 4pm when the cold started to turn me blue, but not before I heard an old codger label the Williams bros 'Sinning Gobshites' for what they did to a nice, original beetle...:D

Really enjoyed the spin out today,
Great to have met everyone, also sorry i missed a few people, it was a great turnout for the club all the cars looked great, Rez even had a go at bumpers with another beetle,

The owner of the cabrio moved the car 3 times to insure he had the best spot possibly.
That red one was driven in by some chap with a beard that wasn't Justin. :D Didn't recognise him. That "black" one was actually dark purple with things like bumper irons painted pink. Had a crowd around it the minute it parked. I hadn't seen it before. Couldn't understand why they chose to mount the rear plate in the bumper instead of the engine lid. Looked a bit odd.
