Andre (postvan-man) asked me to post this thread up on Eircooled.

You might have seen that Andre attempted to bring his bug back from Germany to Limerick some time back but it didn't get that far, and he is planning to bring it back in the last week of November '12. While down at Rez's place the night before VAGE'12, over a few beers I volunteered myself as a co-pilot and a good excuse to get in some decent German beer along with sight seeing over the course of the four days.

So the flights are booked (Aerlingus would call a strike, hopefully just one day) and all going well the bug will be in Rosslare Harbour on the 2nd of December for 02:30P.M. Andre has done this drive a few times so I'm glad of that and hopefully I won't embarrass him with my French lessons courtesy of Delboy. The plan so far is to go via Belgium & France while catching the overnight ferry in Cherbourg,

the ferry is indeed booked for the above time...The car has a new gearbox, with oil in it this time, and is according to the mechanic purring like a cat...if it purrs all the way up to france i will already be a happy andre, if it makes it to limerick even better....

in case anyone is wondering, whether i am worried???despite all the comments and mikey already blaming his decision to join on alchol consumption.!! no i am not worried,...

but everyone is welcome to come to rosslare on the second to help pushing it off the ferry....

Ich habe meine deutschsprachigen Fähigkeiten gebürstet.

Nicht mehr lange, bevor ich weg nach Deutschland gehen am Mittwoch, sprach mit Andre und es ist etwa zehn Grad im Moment. Zumindest gibt es keinen Schnee auf dem Boden, werde ich Entsendung Bilder, wie wir entlang gehen.

Dut ist Sie wissen, wenn die Bar öffnet um Dublin Airport?

please say that to somebody here and i guarrantee blank faces...but not so bad after all i could get most of it from the context, but the brushing up mistake is brilliant...

Anyway for all the spectators...the beetle is with me at this stage and makes a good impression drives well so far but will get more proper testing next week...
