apart from the bed and a hole below the lower front grill this is a very solid bus
engine is running but I am including a 95 golf tdi in the sale with a good 1.9 tdi engine.

I have fitted a new clutch slave cylinder,front brake flexy hoses and pads and a new front grill.

I was planning on fitting the tdi and giving it a respray but I havent got time for it.

out of interest, who got the golf? I'm after the gearbox from a TDI mk3 Golf.

unfortunately it was the "wrong" TDI for type25 conversion or otherwise due to the electronic controlled injector pump.

However, I've found out that the gearboxes have a nice low final drive giving really good fuel economy and they're the "cable change" type that will suit my Passat. All the other mk3s (except the GTI) came with a "rod shift" box. If I can find one for handy enough money I was going to put it into it as part of an austerity drive experiment

i could be wrong but as far as i know the 8v gti had a rod shift and the 16v had a cable change.

ah right, that's probably true. The VR6 had cable change too. No matter, it's just the TDI cable change box I'm after
