What's up with the Beetle? symptoms?

She's not always starting again and sometimes cuts out when stopping in 1st gear but fixable if I can get my Dad down to help me( he sorted it b4) but she needs a major service so its nothing to major!!!

Annoying tho as i've missed a few things ...
