Just spent 20 mins cleaning the rear window from the '66 and removing stickers and decals to find it is larger than the one on the POS. I thought the rear window was the same from '58 - '71. Obviously not.

So, does anyone out there have a spare rear window for a '58 - '64 bug that they'd be willing to sell? The one in the POS has big cloudy patches that can't be removed so I'm looking for a pretty good one.

Thanks,
Kieran.

Might have one for you, just measure the width of the one you want to replace and I'll check if I have one that will suit.

I have a rear screen in the loft that I'm unsure of the year of, if Brendan's doesn't suit, mine might. The measurement you're after will confirm either way. Measure the height at the mid-point too while you're at it.

Will do. Looks more like a height diff anyway when I placed it over the other one. Cheers.

Centre of rubber to centre of rubber (approx for glass) is 15" high x 33 1/5" wide.

I have a screen in the loft that I have written on with marker many moons ago "up to '71" and the measurement from bottom to top slap bang in the centre is 16". How sure are you of your measurements?

The glass that I have is also measures 16inches in the centre, also measured the size of the glass in my beetle and its 16inches so I'd say Kieran's measurement could be correct.

Yeah, the '66 bug measurement is 16" whereas the '64 looks to be between 14 1/2" and 15". Thanks anyway guy's.

I've a rear window that measures 14,3/4" by 33,1/2" if the others don't suit. that's the measurement of the glass and it looks fairly good condition, I can polish it up to look closer if it suits.

That sounds the business. You willing to part with it? If so, PM me a price and we'll go from there. Thanks.

Not majorly fussy. It's going into a rat look after all! My own is full of white clouds. Not worried about scratches really. Let me know how you get on so, cheers.
