Post 67 bonnet and apron

I have a new bonnet and apron that i had been keeping to make a beetle bed for my son but i cant figure out how to get it into the room and i need the cash so i think he will be getting a type 3 bed instead.

The bonnet is new and in the factory black primer but about 10 years old so hase a bit of surface rust,the apron is
only a couple of years old and perfect.

€80 for the two

Has the bonnet got the vents at the top or is it smooth and does it have the holes for the VW just below the vents?

No vents and no holes.

Ben Byrne wasn't able to make it Limerick today so he is heading this way on Saturday morning and he'll have the van so that might help if you're passing his place between now and then. I can deliver the wheels for you or they can be collected on Saturday at the clubhouse.

I dropped the parts to Ben today,He has got some set up there,Its like Aladins cave,Shelves and shelves of shiney parts and accessories,well worth a trip for anyone living in Dublin.

I got pulled over at a checkpoint on the way over in the passat with no tax,nct and a beetle bonnet strapped to the roof.
The Gard came over with a big smile on his face asked me what was on my roof and then waved me on,so i am looking for a scrap bonnet if anyone has one to fix to my roof rack permenantly.LOL
