Great Day, lads. I really enjoyed it.

Thanks to PJ for the route, and history lesson!

My pics are pretty much the same as everyone elses, although I did take a snap of the place we stopped first, just for future reference.

It was great to see such faith in the handbrakes!

On the way down from The Cut.

Looking forward to the next meet,

Nick

Hi Ian,

I think they are due to head off on a leisure run (whatever the hell that is! All outings in my Bay Window tend to be leisurely!!) at 11.00. I hope to be there from around 10.30, and see how it goes from there.

Enjoy Bloom, Aidan. You have my sympathies!

The best laid plans ......

Well feck that! :( About 500 metres from the Heath exit of the M7, I heard expensive noises coming from the back. Sounds and feels like a fistful of valves in the wrong place.

AA came, and towed me to a local garage. Not how I planned to spend the bank holiday, but there you go.

That's a shame - hope that it sounded worse than it actually is..

You might be better off getting it to an aircooled expert unless you're happy that the garage will be able to sort it properly.

Hi All,

Thanks for the good wishes. The AA guy, who knows Emilio, reckoned that this guy in Kildare Town (John Murphy) could do the necessary and phoned him. The Bus is outside his garage now, so fingers crossed for a good outcome.

Sod's law, eh? Talking about doing a Mizen to Malin run one minute, then BANG!!!!

That'll teach me,

Rgds,

Nick
