Cheers Tim,how right is the price?any idea of mileage, condition

I'm the guy with the LT 40, that TIM posted pics of on the this site. Just to recap, its a 6 cylinder 2.5 diesel 1988 model, green in colour. It was originally an english van, and arrived in Ireland about 6 years ago. I buoght it a year later with the intention of a conversion, but never got around to it. I believe a picture tells a thousand words,so I'll send pics of underside of the LT 40. I'm new to this site, so I hope you get these pics now. And there will more to follow showing the panels and windows etc. of what I have. If I can help with any queries please feel free to ask. Chat you soon. John. ps. Not sure how many photos I can send, but see anyway. Having problems now, manage attachments on the jpeg file attachments only allows 976.6kb. One pic I,m looking to send to you is 3.78 Mb.

Hi Richie, Still having problems sending you on the photos. I was thinking, if I had your email adress I should be able to get them to you. I'm pretty new to the internet, maybe there in lies the problems, who knows. But thats the only thing I can think of, if that is ok with you. If not, no harm done. Thanks a million. John.

Rover V8s are said to be indestructible, they put them into anything that will allow.

Not sure where you'd be with insurance though.

Because I'm an idiot , I said ours is an LT 31 , but it's the older model ..

Round headlight model , pics of it in my Profile Gallery . Some of ye may have seen it as service van at Rally Ireland , or at Mondello Classic Car live.

Did you end up gettin a big camper then George? Ive been looking for something for the last few weeks, wrecking my head. Those LTs could be the making of something nice, but then you can also get lwb versions, more space, some have beds over the cab=more space too. Then I started looking at the Gipsys and Cheetahs, and the 4 berth ones are excellent, spacious, permanent double bed over the cab, nice seating area at the back with lots windows, shower, toilet, central heating, power steering etc. When you see what comes as standard on those you start to want more and more

sorry richie, i missed this post

yeah i got a big camper, I got a hymer B694, massive yoke, very very happy with it, all i need now it to get away more often in her!! if you want to call sometime i'll show it to you

Yeah I have seen it but to be honest I dunno how trustworthy an engine conversion like that could be.I'd be afraid Id just end up taking on a world of problems, what u think?

Thats AlexB's Gypsy. I'd have full confidence in any work done by Alex, he does things right. Plus, as Justin said, Rover V8s have a reputation for being pretty much bulletproof.
