[Wanted: Parts] long shot: wide 13" wheels

I'm looking for a pair of 8"-ish wide 13" rims. Steel/alloy, I don't mind. Must be 4x100 PCD to suit the Jetta.

I know it's a long shot as it's not an aircooled thing at all but I know some of ye have huge piles of shite in the backs of yer sheds (myself included!!!) and I'm hoping that amongst said shite in said sheds, ye might have a pair of wide 13" wheels wondering if they'll ever see the light of day again.

thanks Ed. I've been scouring the usual classifieds. Plenty of full sets of superlights for twin cams/escorts etc but very little available that are any wider than 7" and almost nothing in 4x100. And nobody selling pairs.

there's a crowd in the UK called Bullet wheels that sell a new steel wheel, 4x100, 8J x 13 ET0 but they're about €250 the pair before shipping. I think I might end up banding a set myself. The thought of it is putting me off though.

I'm hoping someone somewhere on the island will have a pair laying up looking for a home. No major hurry.

I just got a set of wheels banded by a guy in Balivor he does a great job and charges 75 a wheel.

ive a set of banded 13in mk1 derby steelies - I cant remember the width- think they are 7's n 8's... I sold the stock rims to a mate with a mk2, n he got them banded by some chap in cork for 50yoyo a rim...
...the banding job the lad in cork did 'aint the best' - little penetration to welds in places n they wouldn't hold air when my mate attempted to get tyres on them... I was tasked with re'welding them', but I put that job on that famous long finger of mine- but my mate recently said hes 'not that bothered' about them now...

theres a set of 4 there... might be an option if nothing else turns for you wide wheels wise...

I've done 2 sets now an its a lot of work. The guy in Mayo on Done Deal charges €60 per rim and has a computerised tig an big lathe.
paul an Stewaet Hor we have a mate up by them who does it too.

Brendan Cowan knows a place in cahir that bands them and there machine welded.i think they are €50 a corner Trev. I think it's called Johnson engineering but give Brendan a pm for the details.
