Hi Guys,

I got a 1971 bus from the U.S. that Britt helped me bring over last year, I just got it M.O.T'd, registered and got Caddy to rebuild the engine.

I'll get a thread on it going in the coming days but in the meantime I was wondering if anyone had the following before I go buy them new:

Stock 1600 beetle exhaust
Stock 1600 bus air filter
Door Pulls
window scrapers for both rhs and lhs

I'm in Dublin so can collect and if you see a Neptune Blue tintop earlybay about the south side give me a wave!

Thanks!
Shea.

Shea,
Please use the proper Bus exhaust! VW designed it so that the exhaust exits behind the wheel in the slipstream. There is a low pressure area directly behind the Bus and a Beetle exhaust exits right into this area. If your rear seals for the hatch are bad then you draw that exhaust directly into the Bus.

I put a beetle exhaust on my early bay when I built it first and notched the bumper to suit but ended up changing it for a stock bus one a week later because it seemed to make the engine run a bit too hot on long runs.

Thanks for the info Britt I thought because I had a twin port the twin tail pipes would allow the engine to breathe a bit better but I'll go for a normal bus one now that I know that.

Door pulls are for buttons.
7 euros each I think.

not really fussed in the all black door pulls, looking for the nice chrome ones or the solid aluminium ones thought I'd just check here before I order a pair
