great day out, I'm wrecked from the heat. Thankfully I avoided getting sunburned.

Shame on Rocky and Justin for wimping out and taking the daily drivers ;)

and for the record, the Audi got there and back not on a trailer but under its own steam with only one minor hiccup, the float needle valve stuck closed on the way out of the arena, as witnessed by about half of the Eircooled contingent. You'd have no secrets around here ;)

Completely burnt. Standing in the one spot behind the decks all day didn't do my neck any favours!! Had a fantastic day though. Huge thanks to Podsy who came over to my place and finished the wiring on my beetle after I fitted the new engine. It was great to have both beetle and bay at the show today. This morning as Aoife's first drive in any aircooled but she's hooked and was calling the beetle "her beetle" all day.

Well the sun came out and stayed out all day :D.

Really enjoyed today except for fucking hay fever, big thank you to Coxy
for allowing me to hire out his green bug today in exchange for some chocolate cake.
What a cracking car, it was my favourite. I think I set a thread with the dust look .

Well done to anyone who collected a prize.

Some of my favourites from today,

Congrats Wayne, the Fendered '57 is amazing.

What did the green Baja win? I heard him take off out of there as they announced his name/details, which i thought was odd - he must have known he'd win something....

Shame on Rocky and Justin for wimping out and taking the daily drivers ;)

Well if it wasn't for Rocky taking the Daily (plus Trailer) then I would probably be still sitting in Limerick! I left early at 1.20pm to head back to Dublin for a family dinner and I wasn't a mile out the gate and the '67 cut out and wouldn't start. It hadn't been out in the best part of a year and although it made it down to Limerick it just didn't feel right, very hesitant as if starved of either fuel or spark. Anyway remember talking to Rocky and he said he had the trailer with him and it was empty going back to Dublin. Gave him a ring and he was about 30mins ahead of me down the motorway. He pulled in to a truck stop and waited to see if I could get it going again. I did, but it wasn't right so I struggled on to where he was stopped, ramps down and awaiting my arrival. Up on the trailer and a free ride back to Dublin!!! :)

A massive thanks to Rocky for his help getting home...Cheers! ;)

Yeah it didn't feel right on the way down Mickey. She'd hold 110 but as soon as I tried to give it some pedal it jerked as if either the spark was intermittent or the fuel was starved. It's a great engine and I'm sure it's a very simple fix which I'll sort out during the week when I get a moment. :)

No calls or enquiries...:(

Up on Donedeal during the week I think! :)

I spent most of yesterday slack jawed and gibbering as I pushed the buggy around, pointing and staring at all the lovely, lovely metal. Mrs V has declared we are getting a camper now, when or how how it will be funded I have no idea!
Great show, fantastic vibe about the place.

Was this the first time the VW side of the house had more cars than the Classics?

Have to say it was great to get down and meet all the lads, even liam. some great cars on show plenty of proper ovals and the like. Its an awful pity about the music though. It was an assult on the hearing, just pure shit in all fairness. Maybe they'll go all out next year and hire a pro DJ that can actually DJ or at least one that has good taste in music????
