I'm looking for one of the little metal gizmos that screws onto a thread and holds the wiring cover onto the bulkhead. Anyone got a spare?

I could make you one in work in aluminium or brass pretty quickly, easily and for free. Let me know the thread size or get me a picture of what it should look like and I'll knock one up. You have two weeks though, I get my hols on the 15th :)

Cheers Trev - I appreciate it. It might be more work than its worth but I'll post a pic tonight and you can see what you think then.

if it's that ^^^^ I think I have a couple spare in the garage, they come on the back of VDO gauges. M5 I think. It would be a 10 minute job to make one. It would have a diamond knurled pattern though...

That's the one Johan - thanks.

Trev - I need it to match the existing one on the other side of the wiring cover. The VDO ones are shorter I think - these ones are 14mm long and are M6 threaded internally

You're a gent Trev and I'll make a contribution to your beer fund when I see you at Monard.

Its 14mm long, 12mm diameter with a slot at the top which is 2mm wide and 2mm deep. If you're feeling particularly generous with your time, the bore at the slot has a slight rebate (you can see it in Johan's pic above)

Edit: Just to keep the numbers all in the same place - its an M6 thread.
