Time to start the ball rolling again for this years swap meet. Same format as last year, swap meet starting around 12ish, bbq at around 3pm followed by a run through Eyre Square and onto Salthill?

Was thinking about the 28th August, its a Saturday and hopefully shouldn't clash with anything. Was also thinking about a change of venue to Coma Coffee in the Briarhill Business Park - it's where the monthly Cars n Coffee meeting is held in Galway and it has plenty of hard standing space. I've not been to one of these yet but there's one on next week so I'll pop along if I remember it and check it out. Coffee shop would be handy for toilets and coffee too throughout the day.

It's still an outside venue so the weather would have a part to play. We were kind of haunted with the rain holding off last year - is there a need to try and look for an indoor venue?

Suggestions and ideas welcome...

An excellent day last year and the convoy through Eyre square was epic! I'd suggest alot more publicity this year, do up a load of flyers and give them out at Eirespares show and other shows between now and then. Work the Irish VW forums too. Maybe Traders who have web sites could pop it up on their home pages that they'll be there.
I'll be up to ye for this again!

This has started to run away from me a bit, I haven't had a chance to do anything at all on it yet. At this stage I'm leaning towards resetting the date for sometime nearer the end of September, it'd give a more time to start advertising it? Weather might not be as good but we might be able to have it as one of the last of the season. Thoughts?

I think September would be a better ! You would have more time promote.
