In abbeyleix but i'm without a beetle as of yet, I have two rotten in a ditch alright they were past the point of no return:dead: I was strongly thinkin of buyin the one you have before the lad you got it from but havin looked at it 50 times i decided it was too much for by budet of 0!!!!! i may get around to postin the pics of my dead ones.
I was thinking the same thing,they may be past it but could have some bits that others could use.I was tal;king to the lad i bought it froms father last time i was there and he said that about 4 years back he sent 4 beetles off on the back of a truck to the scrapyard !!!!could have been a nice find....
yeah both were up and runnin just the bodys were shot. got doors wings bumbers glass bonnet etc etc. one had a fibre glass body kit (wings bumbers whale tail) 2l engine and and the other was a bog standard 1200. was savin them up for when i got something that might need a bit of work!!! it would have been some find alright.
Yeah pity its not mine, the uncle got it built years ago spent a fortune on it and when he gave me the car he said he wanted the engine back. i think and don't quote me but i think the crowd that do race cars built the engine, shane is it?? from what i can rem it was an animal!!!!!!! but how does the sayin go possession bein 9 tenths of the law.
