Here are the details for the weekend.
* Fri evening 25th August
Arrive Strandhill Caravan Park & set up.
[Directions: From the N4 in Sligo Town follow signs for Airport, turn right into road to Airport then turn left into Caravan Park gate . We are in paddock at the end.]
* Sat 26th August
13.00 - 16.00 We have organised a Road Run & stop-off for tea break etc.
(N.B. Roads closed round Strandhill Village for Warriors race (Mini Marathon) 14.00 - 15.30 so anyone going on the road run needs to be out of village promptly.
16:30 => Barbecue etc. The Barbecue unit will be fired up food provided by Eircooled.
* Sun 27th
There are various things to do after breakfast, (if you get up early). Market at Airport hangar, within walking distance, Walking trips, 2 well signposted loops, take a tour of Air /Sea rescue base at Airport,
Climb Knocknarea, Carrowmore Dolmens.
12:00 - 16:00 We have organised a Static show at the forecourt of Enda McCarrick Cars Ltd, North West Business Pk, Collooney.
[Directions: Follow road signs from Sligo as if going to Dublin / Galway N4. At Collooney roundabout (Texaco petrol station) take left, then right into North West Bus Pk, before last building on RHS turn right go on through to front of building.]
17:00 => Return to Strandhill Caravan Pk, Fire up barbie etc. (Or go home if you have work on the Monday)
* 28th Aug After breakfast depart.
General Warning. Strandhill Beach is quite dangerous for swimming, rip currents, people have been lost. Cullenamore or Rossespoint beaches if want to go swimming at sea.
