Drag day III thread

Just a reminder folks, ONE MONTH TO GO!!!!!

We have 45 vehicles booked, we said if we didn't get the numbers we would revert back to a single day event, we haven't got the numbers yet, but fuck it, were going two days for the hell of it!!!! And that is all thanks to the sponsors, ( TAKE A BOW ) without them, we would have been going back to a sunday only affair. With them, those who've booked, get tons of track time, and two days to really enjoy themselves.

So thank you sponsors, we couldn't do it without you.

Some trophies have landed, one in particular from our very own Stump, along with some goodies from Cal Look Clothing, many thanks Paul, its great to have your support again

A new trophy sponsor this year, quite an important one as it shows we are reaching out beyond the realms of our own bubble, a fella ( Dave) from Simple earth got in touch and said he would like to sponsor a trophy, so he has, "Quickest Newcomer and runner up" plus he's thrown £100 into the prize pot, £60 for the winner and £40 for the runner up, so if you win it, your race entry is covered (almost)

So Lavaud, the quickest lady in a door slammer vw in europe, has sent us one of the spark plugs from her engine, "big deal" you might say, yep it is a big deal, considering its mounted in a perspex block and engraved with a certificate of authenticity, this particular plug came from one of "Lady Marmalades" 9 second passes at Hockenheim in 2014. This little trophy is going to be awarded to the Quickest female over the weekend.

Sorry for the lack of updates, its been a little hectic this year.

This time next week we'll all be on our way home, in bed, knackered but hopefully smiling.

Still tonnes to do here, next week is off the chart busy, we have a full day at the track prepping and cleaning up, moving tyres and generally getting it ready for you guys.

I say it every year, and i know most of the build up is now on social media ( which i hate ) but thank you to everyone involved with Eircooled, without this clubs input, help and enthusiasm for what we did 2 years ago, Drag Day 3 wouldn't exist. Eircooled is one of the key contributors for getting the Drag Day off the ground, although its in Northern Ireland, i feel it encompasses the whole of Ireland. Never underestimate what you guys achieved on the first drag day, it was organised from this very forum, and i will never forget that, so thank you to all the good folk of Eirccoled, i hope you have a brilliant weekend.
