You need to set up a Photobucket account www.photobucket.com
Once you add the pic to the account by uploading form your PC you copy and paste the link (IMG CODE) from each pic into the body of the post and that's it. If you delete the pic from your photobucket account it will be deleted form the post you have it in.

why doesn't this one "feel" like a proper '67, even a late '67?

It's been restored but the front quarter panel is wrong, it's for a post 73 Beetle. There was a different flip out fuel filler on that model, the chrome is in the wrong position and they look like US spec headlights which are more rounded......apart from that it's great!

this is a nice colour for a late model cal-looker too. With a bit of lowering and different tyres this could be sweet (and I'm not even a fan of cal-look ;) )

The chassis number on that car is 118......... Its a '68 model. A fellow told me that in England the registration year goes from August to August, so it was first registered as a '67.

VW also ran their new models from August of the previous year. The German factories closed for the month of August and when the workers came back they began production of the new models.

Yep, models begin in August of the preceding year, that car was built and reg'd between August and December '67 but it's a '68 model.
