classic track day,Tynagh Co.Galway.

just thought some of you might like to know,Ballinasloe and district classic car club are holding a track day for classics at Pallas Karting track,in Co. Galway this Sunday.
i don't know a hugh amount of details,but it about 1k of a track,plenty wide and twisty.standard road cars are fine.i think its three or so cars at a time with no overtaking.i believe its lots of fun,and entry only 20 or 30 quid.i think they do a drive to Portumna for something to eat afterwards.
they would be delighted to see as many classics as possible,weather on track or not.

i'm hoping to get there if i can find a fuel pump in time.

i hadn't seen that Padraig.my brother was talking to one of the lads organising it earlier tonight,and i'm almost certain its still not too late to enter.
its a pity you have no engine ready Johnny.they hold sprints and drift days there too fairly regularly,so it probablly won't be long before theres something similar happening again.

sorry to hear about your vomiting Bug Padraig!
i never made it either-got the fuel pump saturday night,but it is still way down on power.i was afraid to chance it until i figure out why.was thinking mabey head gasket or melty pistons but compression test today looked good.
my brother brought the formula vee.there were a few more vees,and a good few mk1 and 2 escorts and minis,and a couple of golfs,and i'm not sure what else.
everybody was really enjoying the buzz.good weather.five on track at a time.the same club are holding another one in March afaik-would be nice to round up some aircooled machines for the next time!..

this trackday was on yesterday again.my father took his kg out for a spin.think they will be running it again during the summer-great craic!

ya-if I hear anything I will let you know no problem-although I didn't hear about the last one until it was over-guess the auld lad was afraid i'd ask for a spin in the kg!
what car were you thinking of bringing Tsar? i'm sure they would love to see more aircooled machinery down there.
