Great day, really nice spin up and back when the sun is shining, although I had a bit of a hairy moment crusiing behind Stump who had NO brakes lights! Bus came home alot happier after Ben had a quick look at my Carb setup, which was completely out of wack.....needs a good going over! Fair play to Ben and Dave for their advice, legends. Especially to Ben for having a look at the carbs for me!
Some serious cars up there, alot of modern stuff, but the level of detail, and effort that has gone into them was unreal. Really impressed. Savage Caddy pickup, some really nice new golfs, seen one with what looked like a full custom interior, camo and suede all over, was really unique. Also seen a civic (think it won best of jap) with a b18 and phat turbo strapped on, looked the part.....like shit off a shovel I'd say.
Shane and Paul's Beetle's were just out of this world, not seen such quality up close. Just makes ya want one and go green with envy. Show winners and well deserved.
Fair play to Dave for scaring the bejaysus out of the whole show with his drag beetle, gnarly that's all I can say. The noise out of it at just 2 thou revs was incredible, you imagine full wack, the whole show was gathered round in awe! Gonna make it my business to see these guys on the strip before the season's out.
Ben just wasn't happy with the guy in the GTi to the back left of his car so he decided to shit oil all over him....got him to move fairly lively! Haha, hope you got sorted man! Was a little funny in fairness, making loads of noise everyone watching and oohhhh a little oil! As you said ben, better do it in the parking lot than half way down the road.
Aircooled stuff stole the show by a million miles, probably a bit biased! Great day, that forest park is deadly, gonna make a camping weekend out of it next year, really nice spot. Nice to meet all the eircoolers of course!
