Ok, the venue has been confirmed as Athlone.

Meeting at Hodson Bay Hotel @ 9:30 ish for breakfast. There is an area held for us in the main dining room. There will also be an area for parking overlooking the lake.
 
I'll have to reduce my status from definite to maybe now that it's Athlone not Portlaoise. I'll know more closer to the date... :)
 
I forgot about this one. Can someone take this on please? I won't be able to make this one because Burty is not back on the road and I have a few features to get done for the next issue and next weekend is shut off.
The Hodson Bay Hotel have a section of the bar held for us - about 15 people but if Athlone doesn't suit I can cancel it.
Any takers to run this?

We're currently down to three definites with Trev and Michael as possibilities (going by previous posts).

Are there any more people interested in coming along?

Do we need to review the location in terms of Athlone VS Portlaoise if it'd attract more numbers?

Does anyone have local knowledge of the Athlone area for a cruise? There's a couple of detailed ones listed earlier for Portlaoise but none for Athlone?

Do we need to amend the booking for the Hodson Bay as numbers haven't grown?

Any chance that people could reconfirm their attendance so that we know that they haven't forgotten?

I don't mind running with this but I've no local knowledge of either area in terms of organising a cruise....

Forecast is good for Sunday BTW (Sunday will be a bright cold but dry day with light winds.. )
