I have a home-brew roadster body.

€200

what changed after '76 BTW that makes them so different? From '67 onwards up to 2003 they were largely the same with only minor details to tell the years apart.

just the shell, no chassis (I have one with good original floors, can be provided for another €200, or we can cut a deal of some description) no bolt-on panels but most importantly, new channels fitted, plenty of reinforcing metalwork in place and NO RUST (except for some surface rust, there is no rot in the shell)

well I meant we'd deal if you wanted the body and chassis together. I'm open to part-exchanges with parts that I might need too. What have you got?

mind you, I'd prefer cash.

Did I mention this shell has new channels, and no rot? Two features you're not likely to find in many hardtop shells in the same price bracket. Think of this roadster lowered with your sweet body kit attached.

It would certainly be one-of-a-kind... ;)

I'd take €350 for the body and chassis together. Good solid base for a nice project. Chassis is complete except for an engine. I can supply an engine lid with "VW Roadster" script cut into the lid. Nice if you're into that kind of thing...

I had 18" wheels on my bug for a test drive. While they looked well it was very harsh on the road. Not the kind of thing you could put up with for a daily driver but might be ok for a show car...

18" Audi RS4 replicas:

17" BBS wheels: also quite harsh but bettert han the 18's

16" mk5 Golf steels: much easier to live with :)

let me gather it all up. The body is at the dad's garage, the chassis is here at my house. I'll throw in as much stuff as I have to help get the project up and going. I should have some seats for it, window winder mechanisms, maybe a steering column and wheel, dash clock, etc. You can have them all with it if you buy. When were you thinking? I can meet you somewhere along the way, maybe near Thurles? Save you the full journey up from Fermoy?
