Bay for parts & 911 engine

While lounging in Vdubber's Bus this afternoon in Fermoy a guy came over to say he had a Bay van that's complete but rusty and is selling it for parts. Everything is there bar the engine.
He also has a 911 engine that he thinks is from a 60's car but he wasn't sure. I think it might be a 914 engine but I could be wrong.
I didn't ask about price. He thinks the Bay is a 1973 model.

I went to have a look at the 911 engine about eight years ago after Eddie approached me at a show in Clonakility.

The engine is a 2.2L, out of an early '70s 911. Its a 6 cylinder alright, the real deal with triple throat webers.

It had sat there for a while when I saw it, but it did turn over. I can't remember how complete it was. He was looking for a fair price for it but I left it as I couldn't estimate how much it'd need to get it running again. No history with it either, so I didn't know what work it had received to that point.

He tried to flog that engine to me at the terenue show about 5 years ago as well. he's not having much luck with the sale. he should of lrft the engine in the car:rofl:
