I seem to remember my friend saying it was an old Dublin reg and not an import! Must check that out. 
The Regulations also provide for the allocation of special registration numbers (unused ZV series) to veteran and vintage cars (over 30 years old). Such cars will be allowed to display numbers on old style (pre 1987) plates.

Didn't realise that. Thought the dublin classic zv's would be into 5 digits long ago. They were sold in the uk alright as opels for a short while, then vauxhall royale coupes.
Import could explain the low mileage also (47k according to another ad in carzone)

Yeah, think they dropped them for a short while & then brought them back for the second generation & sold alongside the royale. They were much cooler than the vauxhall tho.
Theres a 2nd gen GSE one on this site, (along with a 15k beetle with delivery mileage!)
