I went to see this a few weeks back , floors are solid , but was able to poke my finger through it underneath at the back of the front wings. also rust at the rear wings around the runners.botton 2 inch's of rear quarters.. . had the correct gt dash though , engine had end play.. id say any offer would buy it , needs it gone , he has the old brown log book too.
Maybe a smaller engine was fitted at some stage and the records were updated but it'd be worth checking the gearbox code to make sure that that's a GT 'box. It does seem to have all the right bits though. Its kinda tempting - always liked that model.

If so then your spot on about the black areas, he stored it under a plastic cover for a while and the paint started to bubble.
I saw the photos of the resto at eirespares a few years ago ... serious amount of work, nos panels & money went into it, its a really nice car but the black touch up lets it down big time!

FFS I have to be in the US when a LOWLIGHT comes up for sale ....aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. and 4.5 k
AFAIK Cosy classics were selling that a while back. If it's the same one it needed work..

It should be rhd...sure they don't even allow lhd cars in South Africa. They are not even allowed into the country.
Factory never produced a rhd lowlight, been a few aftermarket conversions alright...
Something doesn't look quite 'lowlight' with that for some reason, can't put my finger on it...
I thought the same but i put it down to ya can't see the vents on the front too well.
Yeah I think it's a combination of:
- car high up at front
- wheels seem to stick out far
- all chrome missing (i.e. bumpers)
