RHD + that roof = Australian? If it had roo bars I'd be convinced. It'd be worth a look if you were in the market, price is right :)

Viking interior would suggest uk not oz,a lot of oz buses also have a gas locker on the side aswell as the roo bars.the roof is a strange one.

It looks like a nice beetle from the few photos he included but those US spec bumpers do nothing for it. And where are the front indicators?

AAI 902? Mine and Kieran's old '62 if so...original color is a beautiful Anthracite grey which might be a bit more fetching than the white it is now...would be interesting to see what the price is...

I did tell him that but he's not convinced. I think its causing him some trouble, so I told him they all do that. I also told him twin sliders where cool. But he's not listening. He keeps looking at shiny pop tops for sale on the internet so i've told him that shiny paint can hide alot of sins at least he knows what he has at the minute and can start making a list of what need fixing.

I shouldn't have showed him my van made him want one as awesome as it. :p

He plans to ship it back to New Zealand so he's worried about making the wrong decision apparently they're rare over there. I bet twin sliders are really rare.

Oh jesus the rear lights

I've seen ads from magazines at the time for the 'upgrade'. It captures a point in history so its arguably worth preserving like that.

Not that I'll have to worry about it, being quite a few euro short of the asking
