are bus prices dropping

i've been thinking of buying a splitscreen bus for a little while, prices seem to be dropping slightly ,a lot of uk buses advertised for months without selling, is it because of the influx of brazilian buses i wonder, or brexit maybe, anyway as i say i'm just thinking out loud.

its been a few years since I looked at Split prices TBH; and I was looking at 'the samba' at the time; project buses; month by month you could see the prices of even the rustiest, picked over buses doubling and tripling...
...they are certainly a niche market, but then again they are now bigger than ever in 'pop culture' and folk getting married seem to want one at the wedding reception for pics etc, n theres an increase in firms hiring out buses for such occasions...

I think prices of T25's have 'peaked' somewhat; a lotta folk see them as too complicated, too underpowered n needing 'specialist' mechanics to look after them - a lot of ex-t25 owners now seem to be switching to T4's, and demand and therefore prices of T4's seem on the up...

I think they are Gavin. I've seen Buses hang around for sale for a lot longer than previously seen and also the eventual sale prices are slightly lower than before. I'm not getting all excited that I'll finally be able to afford a Samba but regular Bus prices are coming down a small bit anyway which is no harm because the prices went nuts. Once the celebs got hold of them we were fecked

Not too sure about splitties but early bays don't seem to be dropping. A tidy early bay bus (not camper) would cost in the region of $8,000 in U.S. a couple of years ago. From what I can see lately, you'd find it hard to get a similar vehicle for under $20k. I'm talking solid original paint unrestored.

I think prices in the UK for Bays have leveled off and they seem more realistic now but there is still a massive spread from the cheapest Fred Flintstones' to the Show Ponies.

....its about 10 or 15 years ago now (if that)- but didn't beetle prices tumble from the ceiling to the carpet? ...lots of reasons for this, but anyways, I cant see that fate befalling t2 bay n splits... T25s seem to be replicating that 'bug trend' of falling prices these days - blown engines, rust, in operable/unbleedable clutch etc etc n normal 'fad' folk see them as too 'trouble some' n a money pit...

...whatever about bay window's hitting the flatline one the monetary peak, I can never see the reasoning in 'early baying' some of the later post 75 bay's - fitting the lowlight front panels n air intake/indicator filler panels/early wraparound bumpers/early rear lamps etc during a resto....
