Sorry to edit your post Mick.
Original post below. Deckie.
Its been a pretty slack year for the club we can all admit, for different reasons.
With just over two months to the meeting ( I'm sure Brian Raferty will tell us the location).

Might be no harm for people to throw down some topics for discussion, but more so to brainstorm idea's as how we can improve the club for 2012.

All in hand Michael,

We where waiting until we had all the details finalised before posting.

But the AGM will be on Sunday the 1st of January 2012 (New Years Day)

We are working on a deal with the Horse and Jockey Hotel in the village of the same name, its in Tipperary just off the M8 and only another few minutes south of Portlaois.

More details as soon as we have them.

Last year it started at 1:00. This can't happen again this year when you consider some people may have a 3-4 hour drive beforehand, after a New years eve night of heavy drinking. Most people I know have plans (or plan on not doing anything due to hangovers) that day.

This argument over the date has been going on for two years now, and theirs always been an excellant attedance at the AGM.

The lads are saying that they'll be unfit to drive after some New Years celebrations not that they don't want it over the Christmas/New year holiday period. I think the guys have a fair point. I'm sure the Gardai will be out in force over the Christmas period and no one will want to risk being over the limit while driving. As Justin said there's a big difference between the 1st and the 2nd but i presume its been organised for this date as most are back in work on the Tuesday.
