I've been keeping an eye on this:

http://www.met.ie/forecasts/5day-ireland.asp

they update the forecast every few hours and the forecast for the midlands on Sunday afternoon has varied wildly over the last couple of days. I'm hoping as the time draws closer they'll be more accurate with the forecast and we'll get a window of dry weather until Sunday evening. Then it can piss rain all week if it likes...

just in now, soaked to the skin!! the day started out well but the rain rolled in pretty early and dampened proceedings for me at least. Since I was running no bonnet my engine electrics got a bit wet and the ECU was defaulting to limp mode. I jacked it in at that stage and spectated for a bit. Despite the wet weather, the rest of the field played on and looked like they were having great craic!

the only time slip I got was the first one, in the dry. I ran a 12.9!!!*

* don't get too excited :ROFLMAO: like Deckie mentioned, it wasn't a full quarter, just 1000ft I heard.
I reckon my 12.9sec 1000ft @ 90MPH would work out something like 15.5sec 1.4 mile @ 100MPH. Ish...

Likewise Trev, after attentively following the Jetta build tread a few months back, it's was great to see both you and it in the flesh. It looked deadly racing down that runway with the vertical exhaust, just like a train and it raised a quite a few smiles on its way back to the pit. Not too many cars achieve that.
It's a pitty the weather didn't hold, been such a nice morning. Sorry to hear about the ecu, I hope it's not fecked!

Are the times for all the competitors listed anywhere?

no, once it dried out it was grand :)

however, I somehow broke a CV joint while towing it home. I have no idea how.

here's a few videos Eamon put up on facebook of the drags. I'm sure he won't mind me reposting them here :)
