6V condensor and earth straps for a 1200

Tried starting yesterday with vintage mechanic, yes he is very old, anyhoo he suggests replacing the above to start with. Looks like I'll have to wait for next weekend before going for me first spin.

Anyone have a 6V condensor or earth straps before I go looking abroad?

Is your condenser missing?
any earth strap would do. from a breakers yard or motor factors

nocondenser not missing just trying to rule all the possibilities out as suggested by my friend?
