I'm selling the 1776cc engine that came with the POS. I have never had the engine running but it was the engine that was in the car and according to the seller was the engine they used for racing so I can only guess that the pedigree is good.
I am selling without any guarantee, the same way I bought it but judging by the amount of toys that were on the POS I can presume it was built with quality parts.
Throw in some plugs & leads and you're good to go!

I am asking €1,100 for the engine. If you are looking to really add some oomph to the motor Mac has a a set of twin carbs for sale - 34 ICT Webers with all the linkages @ €450

If you buy the engine and the carbs we will sell the entire package to you for €1,400

As I mentioned, I have never run this engine and it is being sold as is with no guarantee - I bought it in good faith and I'm selling it in the same way. I have no need for it at the moment and I'd rather see someone have some fun with it than to have it sitting on the floor in the Clubhouse.

without sounding negative can you tell us some more about it , ya should be able to spot whether the crank has been 8 dowelled, flywheel been lightened, what heads it`s running without having to take it all apart. what`s the end float like on it ? did the po give you any details like mileage on it ?
i`m tempted to grab it for the oval but without some more info it could be just a standard 1600 with 90.5 barrells and pistons

as baz has pointed out a few more snippits of info would help, pull of the rocker covers and post pictures of findings . pull the sump plate of and check for debris and oil condition, easy to do in a few minutes .

Cheers for the advice Caddy. I'll do that but I'll have to wait until I'm out at the Clubhouse next which should be the weekend.

Got at this yesterday and got it in for a bench test - it has a lightened flywheel , Kenedy clutch kit , high lift cams , deep sump ect ect , so did a compression test and all within 5 of each other so result , no oil leaks or endfloat , I was saying to Coxy that for such a good engine it did look like shit ,got her up to temp and she idles nicely with great oil pressure , was missing a couple of exhaust gaskets to had to bolt up a single quiet pack - she was anything but quiet , I didn't realise there was such a good grunt off a 1776- it was sweet and bought on the spot so shes gone .

The Type 4 in Evilmonkey's but had to be gone through By Caddy he found water in the oil filter.
Horizontals engine had to be totally rebuilt again by Caddy my friend ( term used loosely) supposedly rebuilt that engine and it had cracked heads, scored barrels and metal in the screen cost me 700 Euro. I honestly can't thank Caddy enough for treating me fairly and jumping on these projects quickly.
From now on before I send something over I drive it for awhile and make sure it's OK.
