good vw heads with long reach plugs, 200mm flywheel.
bench tested and running sweet.

in answer to your question , yes i would take a case as a trade in.

i dont pay much for them though !!

if you breakdown the build costs , there are £150 new parts, £50 machine work , £200 for 12 hours building and testing ,

that only leaves only £99 for a case, crank, pistons , barrels , heads , cam , and valve train, which are all good used items still within factory spec.

so as you can see im almost giving the engine away ..

i now have another 1600 twin port for a beetle or split van , dosen't have the mounting points for a bay.

align bored case new bearings seals and gaskets , good vw heads with new valves , refaced 200mm flywheel, low mileage pistons and barrels fitted.
bench tested .

a near new 69mm vw crank with 200mm flywheel , from an engine that has only been bench run , customer then decided to change to a stroker 200euro.
