i hate people who come on to forums just to sell stuff,but i think someone here might be interested in this my friends father has had vw's for over 40years he has had many beetle,fastback.
he has a vw beetle convertible which he got in from california,when he
got it he asked for a 2.0ltr borgman engine to be put in it,it was mint when he got it(15-20 years ago)
he drove it for a while and then some little shit broke the steering lock on it and ripped the hood
my friends father put it in his garage but the garage had no roof on it he was pissed off with it and left it to rot,so yesturday i had a look ,the engine is impressive but lets just say thats it.unless you where looking for a rat look beetle.
any way he is looking to get a few quid for it if someone is interested i dont have a figure but he told me the engine alone cost
over £3000 and then he got twin 40 carbs for it he wont let it go for nothing but he want a serious offer,if not he
will leave rot for another 20 years.

this car has an irish reg aswell i think is a 1977 oh the important part here is the engine

i dont think it can be rescued but it has a nice engine/well the engine hasn't even been turned over so it could have the makings of a nice engine,id say the carbs have to be worth a few quid if someone is interested just p.m me
