Well it was a first time shot at a decent show, so maybe if he had got support from the club as well, that may have been a boost. Its very easy to knock it now, instead of supporting it at the outset.

Better what next year?? You wont get a better venue than there. So what better are you hoping for ? Weather, yeah hopefully. Anything else?

    MLVW show

Got down there after. Its an impressive venue, with great access and great facilities, and everything laid on. It was impressive to say this was organized by Mossy on his own. Hats off mate. A few nice beetles and T2's in attendance. I must say I was shocked at the size of the arena. Best place...

    MLVW show

I see about 12-15 campers at the venue when I was passing, fair play considering the weather. Does eircooled have a stand at it ? Unfortunately I cant go due to family celebrations for my son who has been nominated for an emmy for his prostethics work on The Last Of US" tv series. Cant very...

    MLVW show

Just passed by the venue. I see no vehicle at all, nor any VW classics. Unless they are inside the sheds. No flags signs or any indication that a show is on at all. Weather is pissing down here all day, and plenty of floods on the roads. So I am not sure whether its going ahead or not at the moment.

    Type 3 Squareback for sale.

Its none of mine, one of which is still in the A&E by the way. I was contacted this week by a chap who currently has a type 3 for sale on donedeal. He is keen to sell the car complete but so far he has only been approached by a few who would like to buy parts only, and he doesn't want to...

    MLVW show

Yep, he is gonna check it out and get back to me. Any idea what a weekend pass is for this aircooled show in kilbeggan, it was mentioned last year, but cant find any current mention of it.

Cant help you there I'm afraid. I assume its a 34 PDST carb. So you need the centre pod and multiple intake pipe work

so you need the tinware I have in mine then. Have you got any at all, shroud even?

    MLVW show

Is it in a T25 or a T2 bay. My own engine has the twin solex fitted that appears to run well on start up, but with no tinware I cant bring it down the road.

    MLVW show

My engine is the CU aircooled type 4 engine, same as the one used in the Porsche 914, the early T25 aircooled unit. I need the tinware that fits onto this, and matches the late bay engine bay. At the moment I've made contact with a guy in France who has most of what I need, as well as T25...

I heard that, if you hear of any Type 4 engine tinware, let me know. The T25 tinware should be easy got surely.

    MLVW show

I think kilbeggan races is also on that Friday 14th July. Being directly across the road from the show venue is gonna be an absolute nightmare for driving to the show. Normally the race traffic sometimes backs up all the way to kilbeggan from Loughnagore. Now with all the Vdubs as well,...its...

    MLVW show

The last MLVW show suffered a bit with attendance because they never did any real advertising for it, and I dont see any around kilbeggan for this one either. Any luck with your tinware? Is it for a T25

    MLVW show

I spoke to a good few classic car guys recently, and they all feel that 35 euro for admission is a very high figure. Not a lot of thought there really. 115 euro for a weekend attendance at a show for camping may be one thing, but just to walk in and look around for the same price, is a bit odd...
