Hey Guys,

Would anyone have a set of rear brake drums from an old (late 70s early 80s) Audi 80, part number is 803 501 615D, 201mm dia.

Cheers

if only you needed those a couple of years ago, I fecked out two sets...

mind you, I just unbolted the whole drum, backing plate and all from the rear axle and bolted on the rear drums from a mid '90s Vento. They have self-adjusting mechanisms inside and are easier to find and get spare parts for. Same bolt pattern and offset so nothing gets affected on the tyre clearance side of things either.

Is the stub axle dia./bearing size the same size?. These are actually on a trailer and the bearing housing actually sheared off the drum. I had thought a Caddy drum might fit but Vento would do either.

I think the bearings are the same but you'd be as well to get the whole stub axle off the vento/mk3 Golf and bolt that up. It'd save you having to mess about with replacing bearings. If you've already bolted up the Audi stub axle then it'll bolt in its place. If you've welded the stubs on the you'll have to experiment with the vento drums to see if the bearing spacing is suitable. I'd be surprised if it wasn't though, they're all pretty much the same up until they went to 5-stud. Your local scrappy should have loads of Polos, Golfs, Ventos to choose from.
