Good quality old VW parts, that have proven themselves over time. I read somewhere that second hand hub caps still sell for more than any of the new ones at swapmeets and that.

I've got orders for a few sets of show quality VW hub caps from people willing to pay 200+ euros for a set. I'd have to agree.

I think I'd go for s/h ones though, if they're a few years old and still look OK they should be good for another few years.

No not from WW, you must mean the top quality Karmann Konnection badge that rusted after one weekend? Also referred to as the "when I returned it to Karmann Konnection I was told that Ritchie thinks you made a mistake & returned the wrong one because its not one of ours" badge?

Jon White sorted me with a top quality badge. I'd trust WW stuff to be good.

Do you think there would be much of a market in Ireland for stainless steel repro hub caps?

There is a shop here in Sydney that manufactures them (this is where Autocraft get them from), and I know the owner well.

Just thinking of getting a bulk buy organised if there's enough interest

I'd have thought so! If I had a car that needed hubcaps, I'd go with the stainless ones. They do look nice. Maybe not as nice as chrome but for a regular use car instead of a show car they could be just the job.

kdf ones would sell well i'd say, was looking for them myself before, but a terrible price.

my front VW badge is WW and has lasted very well.

OK I went over to the place with the stainless hub caps. Both models available, late and early. The shine is remarkably good for stainless with a good reflection, although not quite the mirror image of chrome. The logo is stamped clearly with nice embossed edges.

They retail for AUD$50 each which is about EUR36
