Tim, I appreciate the offer of the bike. All i can say is, 'get thee behind me satan!' If i even drove 10 yards down the road i'd have reawakened the beast and would spend the next month scouring donedeal looking for a Virago 1100, and checking ourt insurance. Jennifer would NOT be pleased
I think i have enough toys at the moment, and the acquisition of another is always just bubbling under the surface - has been since i got rid of the last bike over 15 years ago. That said if i take a head stagger, i will most certainly take you up on your kind offer.
Now, to the engine stuff - sshed clearing is making progress - i nearly have workshop space - but i seem to have accumulated even more crap about the place than i had realised, so preogress is slower than anticipated. But i will be ready to make a start on this in the next 3-4 weeks. I'll defo being doing all the work on this one, as i need to learn and get to grips with this little demon. reading and instructional video watching has already begun. Sure, i doubt that even I can make it too much worse than it already is!!!!!! But then i have a tendency to underestimate my destructive capacities :-0
I'll have you on speed dial though, so don't plan any long trips abroad just yet (or, maybe you should!).
Enda, thanks very much for the offer - i really appreciate it. If i manage to feck up the engines i have here i may be looking for another guinea-pig, in which case i'll give you a shout. At the moment i've got three engines (luck boy); one in the car - needing top-end rebuild, one apparently running one sitting on a pallet, and one seized one, also sitting on a palet. Think i'll start on the seized one and see h ow that goes. This is going to eventually be a complete refurb of the engine and the engine bay - get it all back to the way it should be.
Anuwho, I'll chat to you on the 7th.
Thanks again, chaps.
All the best,
Jason.
