I don't too often do a straight hawk of my business on here, but I feel like it today. Ross asked me for a website lately and I decided for once and for all to do a simple but neat and tidy website template that I could put up in a couple of hours for people starting their own business that needed to just get off the ground website wise. The result was http://www.shannonmrc.com/ which is basically a template that has
a) A banner - size 960 * 150 px
b) Either 4, 5 or 6, or 8 links below the banner (coz 960 divides by 4/5/6/8)
c) A 2 column layout - text and info on the left and either a picture or info on the right
d) a footer with the same links repeated
e) the color scheme can be changed to any color in a matter of minutes (see my blog for examples)
I charged Ross €750 + VAT and then another €500 for maintenance and €370 for the European website recycling fund taxation
However for everyone else on here if you want a website like this and you are willing to stick with the basic design parameters I reckon I could turn them out including domain name and hosting for about €199 ex VAT. Definitely only for Eircooled people. Only condition is payment in advance by card or eft (no cheques - bad for the environment). Also you will have to provide a logo and all the content in one nice neat email or document. You can edit the text yourself afterwards.
Of course my bread and butter is custom websites for more advanced applications but if ye want one of them I'll find ye
