I'm changing jobs but am losing my company car in the process. I'm tempted to buy a Mk 1 golf cabriolet or beetle cabriolet as I don't want to use my ghia as a daily. Any advice on pitfalls, what price I should pay, questions to ask etc? Thanks in advance.

Guy I know near Newry is selling this 89 GTi clipper. Very clean, spotless interior just MoT'd £2500ono I think
130K miles on it but if you were told it had half that you'd believe it!

Thanks for the info so far. Has to be a cabrio and even though it looks great, white is not the colour for me!! Also I think I'd get some really funny looks if I arrived into work on my first day with the "rat" golf!
