One of the joys of living at home with the folks is the fact that there is 2 sheds, both full of shite and nowhere for me to store my tools. I am looking for an alternative solution, and was thinking along the lines of one of those big Jobox things that you see on the backs of lorries, but they're stupidly expensive. I want something weatherproof that I can put my tools in and leave outside without them getting destroyed by the weather. Has anyone got anything?

Maybe a plastic coal bunker. May get a bargain at this time of year

Oddly enough I was thinking of that.

Brian, I had a look at a thing in woodies called a cushion box which is used for storing patio furniture cushions but it looked quite flimsy so I decided not to get it. I didn't see that shed you mentioned. I'd rather get something for around €100 though.

I'm not going to be leaving the box out the front. It will be beside the shed. Though you may have a point. There's probably a lot of shit that can go in the box leaving me space for my tools.

Did you even think why them Jobox thingies are so expensive?!? You must be nuts to even think of storing yer tools in a plastic box. Out in the open.
May as well leave the box unlocked, save yourself the cost of the padlock.
Tell you what, hows about i call round to your place and you just give me yer tools, I can give you a kick in the bollocks and we'll call it evens?

Damien, much as that offer is enticing, I think I'll pass for the moment but if I ever do feel that I would benefit from a good kick in the nuts, you get first dibs.

I had been thinking of making my own box actually. It's another option. I'm leaning towards the coal bunker though, fecking all the shite from the shed into it and claiming a corner of the shed as my own.

Thats the talk. Anytime!
Make up yer own box and put it in the shed. Make it as difficult as possible for any scrotes to nick.
