Ross, hold out for genuine second hand ones if you can. I got repro ones and they started rusting after 2 weeks.

Afaik ya can't get the repo ones with the VW stamp on them cos VW have stopped the sale of em. Apparently they've got tons of them crushed. The genuine ones are about 50 snots each!!!!

I'm happy enough with a set of slightly tatty second hand ones. I know what you mean about new chrome, Kev. Somewhere along the line, people forgot how to make good chrome!

I'm guessing mine were brazillian ones then because they had the VW logo but were rubbish.

I've been lookin myself for a while now,Jon White and just campers havnt been able to get any of the cheapo ones for a while now.I was goin to buy the cheap ones and give them a coat of laquer to protect them.I don't fancy paying €200 for a set of genuine ones sure at that price your halfway to a set of alloys.

I might have a set of original T25 caps...but not sure of the condition. Will have a look later Ross.

You could also buy the cheap Repro ones and have them powder coated so they don't rust. There is a Chrome Powder available I believe but not sure of the exact finish. I'll check with Joe in Grove Engineering about it. ;)

Just found the ones I have. They all have a few dents in them, some could be tapped back out. I would consider 3 out of the 4 in usable condition. Chrome is still good and will buff up nicely. Might do you for a while until something better comes along. ;)

Buy a cheap set of VW Heritage and get them posted to London Chrome.
Bear in mind a month or two as LC are always busy. You'll have identical hubcaps
With excellent chrome.

Well spotted Duts.

As Duts said earlier, the genuine ones are expensive, and I would wonder the quality of chrome.
Still think rechroming those with London Chrome, would be the best option in the long run.

Depends on how much you want them right, could cost a bit between purchasing, postage and re chroming them.

EDIT: Status VW still have the cheap ones with the VW badge.

Have you used them? My over-riders are wrecked, and I'd like to get them done.

My uncle has used them for chrome pieces off his boat and found them very good, ive a set of standard wheels I'd like to get done from them at some point.

Expensive?

I'll ask him over the weekend, but I think the postage was nearly the most expensive as it was bulky stuff.
I've a feeling he got a good bit done for a fair amount, it's a slow process though. I'll post a price when I find out.
