wanted, 76 beetle bits.

Just thought I,d give this a try before I go hunting/buying else where. I,m looking for a couple of bits for my 76 1200 beetle.

Brake fluid reservoir. Windscreen washer bottle. 1 empi 8 spoke rim. 2 sun visors. Dashboard radio infill panel. Small steering wheel, not too sure about size, so I,ll measure tomorrow.

I,ve got some 6 volt bits n pieces hidden away in the shed, I,ll have to dig them out over the next couple of days, and post up a list. But off the top of my head I think there are switches, hubcaps, steering wheel, indicator switch, float fuel guages, maybe some chrome, and a 65 1200 engine.

Just on another note, do you know anything about the beetle for sale in Tullamore, thats on Ebay. Looks good. I rang this morning , but no reply.

the 1303 looks well. I wouldn't be mad about the seats or the zoom tube but they're easily replaced with something nicer

Great response in a couple of minutes, thanks. I,ll make the arrangements with trev, and then contact you, to see if we can meet on the same day.

I,ll be heading to Athy to look at 2 beetles I spotted in a field about 12 months ago. They looked complete as far as I could tell. Shame to see them abandoned, hopefully I can convince the owner to part with them.

I,m still trying to locate the following bits for my 76 beetle, any advice greatly appreciated.

Brake fluid reservoir. 2 Bakelite heater sleeves , that connect the heater tubes from the j tubes to the body. 1 empi 8 spoke rim. 2 sun visors. 1 front bonnect locking spindle, not the bonnet latch.

I should have bonnet spindel, radio plate, both bottles, bakelite tubes and somee salvagable sunvisors! Everything but the Empi8!

Im in Wicklow but away for the weekend so what ever the guys (Trev beats me to it again but atleast now Ive an idea of what I have!!!!!!!) dont fix you up with, the PM me to fill in the gaps!!

BTW, I had all of those bits at the Galway Swapmeet!
