Hi Folks I’ve a 1974 chassis of a beetle with a shell that I cut up with a pair of scissors, would anyone have a shell spare, don’t mind if it needs a bit of welding.
Thanks

This is a stalled resto I have. All the metal work is done, it's in epoxy primer, ready for paint. It's got 4x new genuine VW quarter panels, new channels, front and rear aprons, californian bonnet, one new genuine door, one californian import door, new spare wheel well, new rear cross members. The wings are very good used ones. It's 100% solid. Just needs preparation for paint.

Hi Trevor, I was looking for one not as completed, I want to do a Herbie replica, I have been collecting panels over the last few years, I have the front wings, bonnet and doors (1963)and chassis.
What would you be looking for it?

If you're making a 1963 Herbie replica then this isn't for you. I'm sure you already know the window sizes are different, amongst other details.

All the windows are smaller though. Not just the rear ones. Even the windscreen is a different size.
I'd say either hold out for a 58-64 shell or compromise on your plans and go with a 70s big window shell.
