ya thats a bit much for a rat but thanks any way

Is it a ''Rat'' or a ''project'' that you're looking for? Any beetle below that price is simply a death trap. If you're looking for a solid but tatty looking bug expect to pay €2000 minimum upwards. If not you'll get a car with loads of welding required and will need to pump plenty of cash into it just to get it on the road.

Ah, I see.
Now that definitely makes no sense at all! :ROFLMAO: Why lower it and not have it on the road? TBH, with this request being your first I presumed incorrectly you were a newbie and didn't realise how expensive ''old'' cars were. Apologies.

Welcome to Eircooled by the way! :friend:

Care to clarify a bit there? So youre going to lower it and stuff but not actually drive it and just leave it to rust? Im confused.

i all ready have 3 bugs on the road nd a rat u dont just leave to rust u weld all the under side and under wings and make it safe and lower it and put a perservnt over it called xtrail witch stops it from rustin and i am guna put it on the road but only being 17 its hard to keep one on the road dont mind one more

Well, as Rez said, welcome to the site. We were just a bit curious as to your intentions. There's no need to be condescending. Spend some time on here and you'll see how good a club this actually is.

Ah! There you go lads! Thats why there's no barn finds to be had in Ireland any more. This chap got the lot! Ive been out in John Knightlys place a couple of times. He's a sound man, and has a great collection out there along with his father. Sounds like you're not too far behind yourself. So is the hobby really just collecting them or do you do much restoring?
