I'm selling the above van if anybody is interested. I'm looking for around €12000, but would consider any good offers. There is more pictures in my photo album
Volkswagen 1979 Type 2 Danbury bay window finished in Pastel white and Turquoise. Mechanically and body work the van is in excellent condition having been fully restored giving years of hassle free camping. The van originally converted to a camper by Danbury in the Uk. Its Right hand drive and has a 1600cc engine.
Exterior
This is a very solid van, which has been fully restored having a new front panel, 2 doors, both front wheel arches, both rear wheel arches and rear corners, engine lid, tailgate and all new sills and jacking points. Basically every panel available has been fitted to this van. The headlamps have been replaced with new Halogen lamps, new front indicator units and front bumper. Complete new rear lamps, number plate light and all new window and door seals. The van also has 4 new wheels and hubcaps.
Brakes
The brakes have been completely overhauled with new disc, pads, rear drums and shoes and all new brake pipes and hoses.
Engine and transmission
The engine is a reconditioned engine, probably done in the last few years. A new exhaust system has been fitted, including one new heat exchanger. The engine has had a full service changing the plugs, leads, distributor cap, rotor arm, oil and crank shaft oil seal. The engine starts first time and sounds fantastic not missing a beat. The clutch is almost brand new.
Interior
This is a right hand drive van with a walk way through the back. The dash has been re-sprayed white, new floor mats, isle and arch mats. The seats are in great condition with no rips. Everything works as it should. The Danbury roof will have a new canvas and seals. Currently the van has no interior, it can be bought as a blank canvas or a rock and roll bed can be provided and interior panels. The previous interior cupboards were past repair, but I may be able to find some around if required.
