1.9D 1y Engine for sale; this came out of a 96 vento with 160k; bought from the local breaker's on a pallet still with the vento gearbox attached.
These later Vento and golf engines have the D/TD cast into the block as they have the piston skirt oil squirters inside the block and therefore can be 'woken up' to turbo diesel by fitting the T25 JX manifolds sump pump etc to remplace the JX
Also a good durable replacement for the 1.7 n/a T25 engines.
Seen as a superior 1y 1.9D engine variant than the later caddy 1ys as these vento engines have the better cast 'made in Germany' block and head rather than the 'made in Mexico' of the caddy 1ys.
Usual gaskets belts service bits etc needed to press it into action again in its new home which goes without saying.
