[Wanted: Car] Vintage VW Bus and Beetle wanted for Wedding Sept 2011

Hi,

My fiancé and I are looking for a vintage VW bus and VW beetle to transport the bridal party for our wedding in Mayo in September 2011.

Does anybody have a beetle or a VW bus that they'd be willing to hire out to us for the big day?

It's actually illegal for someone to hire out their van/beetle to you as its considered the same as unlicensed taxi hire. Also, what happens if they break down on the morning of your wedding and leave you stranded or if someone in your party damages the van after a few "light ales"?

Somebody could offer their car to the wedding party for the duration of the wedding party to use as a gift but they couldn't charge for it. It's illegal to actually offer your car for hire when you dont have the appropriate licence and insurance ect. And 2 door cars are not allowed to be used as wedding hire cars so that rules out beetles. But there would be no problem in anybody offering their car as a gift for the day, but then of course there are all the other problems Rez mentioned above so that would be a chance you would have to take.
