Don't scrimp on tyres, even if the baby or whatever has to go hungry for a day. It's the only thing that provides a contact patch between driver and the road, cheap tyres aren't worth a f&*k.
The difference in price between a good tyre and a cheap tyre could be €30 or so, would you really risk everything on about €120?

Totally agree with padraig^^ Definitely don't scrimp. Get the best you can afford.
Kumho, Nankang, Nexen & Hankook all have good reputations & reasonable cost.
If you are into yer brown trouser moments, there are lots of cheap shite budget chinese brands out there for less money & with even less grip...

Not into cheap tyres.... a friend of mine ended up facing the wrong way on a roundabout last week, I had a look at the tyres and there were decent tyres on the front and unpronounceable ones on the back... lethal compination. I'm really looking for good ones at a reasonable price. I'll have a look at the Kumho's, cheers.
